The Matching Grant Program matches contributions raised by Rotary clubs and districts for international service projects involving Rotary clubs in two or more countries. Frequently, these are World Community Service (WCS) projects, posted on the Rotary International website on the ProjectLINK. Many clubs double the effectiveness of their efforts with these one-time grants of up to US$150,000.
Our district and several of our clubs are working on Matching Grants at this time. We are posting some information about them to raise awareness of the work our district and clubs are doing internationally. It is also important to realize that your club, no matter how small, can team up with other clubs and make a difference in the International Avenue of Service.
Recently, the rules of how funds are matched and when grants can be applied for have changed dramatically. All grants from clubs within District 6060 should contact our District Foundation Chairman and District Grants Chairman as soon as they start with a Matching Grant application. All applications must be approved and signed by our District officials before they are submitted to Our Rotary Foundation.
