David Robinette is a member of the Overland Rotary Club.
He joined Rotary, for a short time, in 1987 as a member of the now closed
Westport/West St. Louis County Club. At the request of a close friend, he
joined the Overland Club in 2001. David served in several Club offices and
was President during the 2005-2006 Rotary year. He is a multiple Paul
Harris Fellow; his wife, Mary, is a Paul Harris Fellow. He serves on the Show-Me Council – the multi-district PETS/SETS
program. He is a member of several Fellowships including IFFR, ROTI and
ICUFR. He is one of “Class One” of the District 6060’s Leadership Training
Academy.
David has his Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration
from St. Louis University. He is a member of the Entomological Society of
America and Pi Chi Omega, the pest control fraternity. He has given
interviews on the radio for local call-in shows, done television interviews
and was the editor of the state pest control magazine for four years. He
served as Executive Secretary/Treasurer for the Missouri Pest Control
Association for four years.
He and his wife have two children: Paul,
studying at the University of Missouri – Rolla, majoring in Computer
Engineering and Physics, and Elizabeth, attending Webster
University, majoring in Theater Arts. Mary is a Senior Process Engineer, Chemical
Engineering, with Sigma Aldrich in St. Louis.
David is very active in his Church, serving
as President of the Parish Council and as Carnival Chairman. He is an avid
photographer. He is also a Private Pilot, VFR rated, for single engine,
land based aircraft. He received his Pilot’s Certificate in 1999 and is
partial to the Piper Cherokee Archer aircraft.
